Working the Seam

How to play

Stay in or cash out. That’s the whole game — zero content, pure nerve.

1
The descent

The camera dollies down to this round's depth and the cart rolls onto the rails, empty. Everyone starts the round in the mine, lamp lit. No opting in — the cadence waits for nobody.

2
The cup shakes, the dice fall

Every ~2.5 seconds the pit boss rolls a pair of dice. Each roll thuds dice-sum ×10 in gold into the shared cart. The first three rolls are shallow ground: a 7 there is safe and pays +70 like any roll.

3
The seam turns treacherous

From roll four, doubles strike a vein and DOUBLE the whole cart — and a 7 caves the roof in. Pots die young or go vertical; there is no polite middle.

4
Bank any time

One tap on BANK locks the cart's current value into your ledger and rides you up the winch, done for the round. Banking is public and loud — the ticker announces "SAM BANKED AT 340" to every lamp in the mine.

5
The cave-in — or the parade

When the 7 lands, everyone still underground is buried with the cart: zero for the round, banked hauls untouched. If everyone banks first, the round ends instantly and the last load stays in the ground.

6
The Deep Seam

Ten rounds. The final two descend to the Deep Seam at double value: every roll pays sum ×20, veins still double the lot. No resets, no gimmicks — just steeper stakes on the same nerve. Highest ledger wins the claim.

The assay table

  • Every roll pours dice-sum ×10 gold into the cart.
  • Doubles (roll 4+) strike a vein and double the whole pot.
  • A 7 (roll 4+) caves the roof in — stayers score 0, banked hauls untouched.
  • Your score is the sum of what you banked across every round.

The pit rules

  • 2–20 miners share one cart. Free-for-all.
  • The pit boss (server) rolls every ~2.5s — no human roller.
  • Banked miners watch the round out — that’s the whole point.
  • The canary reads the pot, never the dice. It knows nothing.
