Swaps at break time
How swapsies work
You say how many. You never say what. That’s the whole game.
Everyone gets nine stickers. The round deals one whole set per player, drawn from the ten below, so every set in the packet can be completed by somebody. Three seconds to look, then the playground opens.
Tap a pile of matching stickers — tap again for the next one, up to four — then hit OFFER. A chip appears on the board with your name and a number. That number is all anyone ever sees. Your stickers are held until the swap lands or you pull it back.
With your own bundle staged, every chip showing the same count lights up. Tap one: the two bundles cross instantly, blind both ways, and peel over in your hand. If two people tap the same chip, whoever got there first wins — you keep yours and hunt again. No turns. Everyone is doing this at once.
After forty-five seconds the clock goes magenta and starts counting down for real. The market stays open — it just gets louder. If the countdown runs out with nobody finished, it's a washout: nobody banks a set.
Hold all nine of one set (or eight plus the Shiny) and your BELL lights up. Slap it: the market freezes, every hand flips face-up, and you bank your set's value. Everyone else scores nothing — minus whatever they were caught holding.
Highest total takes the album. Ties go to whoever cornered the most sets, and then to whoever cornered one last.
The swap book
- Corner a set and bank its value — 40 for Goalkeepers up to 100 for Legends.
- The Shiny is wild: eight plus the Shiny counts as nine, and all nine plus the Shiny pays double.
- Everyone else scores nothing, however close they were.
- Bundles are one to four identical stickers, with at most one wildcard riding inside.
The hot potato
- Caught with the Shinyat someone else’s bell: −20.
- Caught with the Ripped One: −20 — and you cannot ring at all while you hold it.
- Because swaps are always equal-count, two players hold ten all round. Which two keeps changing.
- Wildcards are a host toggle. Turn them off for a clean first game.
If somebody drops out
Their hand doesn’t leave the playground — it goes to lost property. The box always has something staged, blindly accepts any matching-count swap, and never rings the bell. Every set stays completable, nobody’s round is wasted, and if they come back they reclaim whatever the box has ended up with.
